Biography

Producer Ritamarie Peruggi has spent her career producing a wide variety of television productions. Prior to The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and as long-time collaborator with The Jim Henson Company, Peruggi served as producer on Henson Alternative’s No, You Shut Up! and Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow. She also directed several episodes of the Company’s PBS KIDS series Splash and Bubbles.  

In addition to her work at The Jim Henson Company, Peruggi produced all four seasons of the preschool series Yo Gabba Gabba! and the original presentation for Sid & Marty Krofft’s Mutt & Stuff . With producing partner Martin Baker, under their American English Entertainment banner, she produced Disney Channel’s Studio DC and The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora. She also served as a creature consultant on the Spike Jonze-directed feature Where the Wild Things Are.

During her tenure as Executive Vice President of Production, Worldwide Television for The Jim Henson Company, Peruggi’s many credits included Farscape (SyFy), Bear in the Big Blue House (Disney Channel), The Fearing Mind (Fox Family), the Emmy®-nominated CityKids, and the comedy series Dinosaurs.  She also produced Jim Henson’s final directorial project Muppet-Vision 3Dfor Disney/MGM Studios at Walt Disney World. 

Peruggi is a graduate from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
