Brian Muehl

Biography

Brian Muehl (now primarily known as Brian Meehl) performed with the mime troupe Mummenschanz before coming to work with Jim Henson. For The Dark Crystal, he performed the dying master of the Mystics, the Ornamentalist Skeksis, and urZah, another one of the mystics. He was also one of the only puppeteers on the film whose voice was used with their characters. Along with The Dark Crystal, Muehl performed on The Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Sesame Street specials, The Jim Henson Hour, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, and the feature films The Great Muppet Caper and The Muppets Take Manhattan. Beyond his Henson work, Muehl has written for numerous television projects including Between the Lions, Codename: Kids Next Door, Cyberchase, Eureeka's Castle, and The Magic School Bus. In recent years, Muehl has been using his writing skills for fiction and has penned several novels for young adults.
